Porcelain is the leader in pottery making. It is non-porous. It has incredible durability, due to the high firing temperature – 1,200 degrees Celsius and 1,400 degrees Celsius Developed in China, Porcelain has high plasticity and can be difficult to work with. Properties associated with porcelain include low permeability and elasticity; considerable strength, hardness, whiteness, translucency and resonance; and a high resistance to chemical attack and thermal shock.
