Supplies Needed:
- PRAI White Stoneware Clay with Impalpable Grog
- Rolling pin
- Plastic wrap
- Activ-Tools: Geometric Clay Cutters Set
- Sculpey Tools Clay Tool Starter Set
- Impression tools
- Texture plates
- Water bowl
- Paint brush
- Glaze
Step 1
Prepare Clay
Flatten clay to a .75“ (same thickness as the shape cutters) thick slab using a rolling pin.
Cover the slab with plastic wrap.
Step 2
Shapes
Firmly press the shape cutters down into the clay. Cut shapes for both the house and roof forms.
Remove cut out forms from the plastic wrap.
Step 3
Join
Score and slip the roof shapes onto the house forms.
Smooth the seams together using the flat ended tool.
Step 4
Chimneys
Cut out tiny rectangle shapes out of clay.
Score and slip them onto the roofs of each house form to create the chimneys.
Step 5
Doors & Windows
Indent impression tools into the clay house forms to create the doors and windows.
Impression tools can be found objects, rubber stamps, or handmade tools in the shapes of doors and windows.
Step 6
Trimmings
Small details such as door knobs can be added in using the sculpture tools.
Texture plates can be imprinted into the clay for roof tiles or bricks.
Step 7
Dry
Allow clay to fully dry. Drying time will vary depending on temperature and humidity.
Step 8
Bisque Fire
Fire clay in the kiln to- Biscuit: Cone 06 (1855oF)
Step 9
Glaze
Apply glaze to the bisque-ware according to manufacture’s directions.

Step 10
Glaze Fire
Fire the glazed piece in the kiln. Follow manufacturer’s firing guidelines.
Firing range:Cone 6-10 (2269o-2381oF)
