FAQ for PCLI clay, with answers provided by SIO-2®

Is the PCLI good for making tall and flat pieces? Will it slump? Would you recommend another paper clay for this application?
The fibers in PCLI clay favor drying, since they act as a union within the clay and, at the same time, facilitate a uniform evacuation of water. This allows making pieces with very thin thicknesses, which, with another type of clay, would easily crack. However, to make very tall and flat pieces, the most important thing is the plasticity and consistency of the clay, more than its ease of drying. PCLI behaves very well compared to other clays, but it will depend on how tall and flat the piece is.
