Lori the Loopy Ladybug

 

Kids will love making this fun and easy ladybug figure.

CLAY SETS:
EZ Shape® Primary Color Set

ADDITIONAL SUPPLIES:
Disposable Plastic Knife
Toothpicks
24 Gage Red Craft Wire
Wire Cutters


 

Getting Started:

Condition clay by kneading in your hands until warm and pliable.

 

 Body

Roll a 1 ¼” ball of Red clay. Flatten bottom by pressing on work surface. With the toothpick, draw a line down the middle of the body from front to back to define wings.

 

 

 

 

Head and Spots

Press a ¾” ball of Black to the front of the body. Press various size balls of Black to the body for spots. Roll six ¼” balls of Black for the feet.

 

 

 

Loopy Eyes and Antenna
Press two ¼” balls of White to the top of the head. Add tiny Black balls for the pupils. Roll a ¼” ball to 1/2” long and press flat. Apply to the back of the eyes for the eyelids. Cut two 1 ½” lengths of wire with wire cutters and bend one end about ¼”. Insert into head for antenna. Add two ¼” Black balls to the end of antenna. Press the six balls for the feet to the bottom of the body.
